Confirmation of venue, date and time for June’s Teacambs

by on 23 June 2012

Hello everyone

Just to confirm the details of June’s Teacambs gathering are as follows:

Date: Thursday 28 June 2012

Time: 4:30pm

Venue: Bill’s Cafe, Green Street, Cambridge CB2 3JX – see here.

We have booked the room at the back of the restaurant so when you arrive, please either walk all the way through to the back. If you get lost inside, ask for the table booked in the name of Antony Carpen. Failing that, have a look out for a big purple dragon fairy – Puffles will be around too.

As mentioned, we have two very special guests – Jane O’Loughlin from Cabinet Office and Jonathan James, head of customer services at Cambridge City Council. My suggested theme as in the previous blogpost is on changing organisational culture towards social media. If you have any thoughts or experiences you would like to share, please do.

In July one of the themes that has been suggested is on getting Cambridgeshire connected – with a particular focus on rural broadband. See this page from Cambridgeshire Acre to get a feel for what the issues are. If you have ideas on what you would like to discuss, present or seek help with at future teacambs gatherings, please let us know either in the comments section of this post, on our facebook page, via our @Teacambs Twitter account or in an email to teacambs [ at ] gmail [ dot ] com.

There will be a number of new faces coming along, so if you are living &/or working in Cambridgeshire and are interested in public sector social media, feel free to come and join us. You don’t have to be working in the public sector to come along – see our FAQs.

(This update written by Antony Carpen – all opinions are his! I write this so as not to get my friend who help with Teacambs & who work for public sector organisations into trouble!)
