Teacambs on 26 July 2012

by on 3 July 2012

Hello again everyone.

Just a quick reminder that our mothership @TeaCampLondon will be talking about digitising the press office on 5 July.

The next @Teacambs gathering will be on Thursday 26 July, where we hope to have the Leader of Cambridgeshire County Council Cllr Nick Clarke talking about the rollout of broadband in the county. This is all part of the Connecting Cambridgeshire work. For all of the great things that are happening with social and digital media, if people cannot access it because of poor internet links, then we run the risk of a ‘digital divide.’

In terms of venues, please send us suggestions for where else we can hold these gatherings. Ideally they will be somewhere that serves lovely teas, coffees and cake along with having (free) wifi access that are suitable for informal gatherings. Our budget is somewhere between nought and zero so we’re not in a position to commercially hire out function rooms. Instead we can bring along enough people at a quiet time of the day to order lots of tea and cake instead.
